HEY EVERYONE:

My latest single on Redzone Records comes out today.
I co-produced the track with Keith Haarmeyer, and I have a remix on it.
Check it out on www.PerfectBeat.com

CD's are available now, and downloads will be available in one week on Perfect Beat.

The power of Gay compels you!

The first Thursday of every month, the University of California Berkeley Botanical Garden provides for free entrance, a savings of $7. Or course wanting to be frugal, I took advantage of it and went over to see the blooming of the very rare corpse plant. It supposedly smells like rotten flesh due to the putricine amine that the bloom gives off which is used to attract flies and the like. I thought it smelled more like a fish dock at the bay. While there I found some really good deals on plants so I bought a couple for my ever-growing collection in the back yard.

I also got an email today from the very first girl that I ever kissed when I was about 14 years old. Both her and girl number 2 are gay confirming my ability to turn women gay with just one kiss. Number 3 and the last did not turn gay, but I am sure she wishes she is since she lives in a mobile home with a couple of brats and a dead beat husband. Actually I don’t know how true that is but it sure is a more colorful story that way.

What, again?!

Yes, the AFL is changing how they deliver games and related media to international fans ... AGAIN.

And no, they're still not being sensible about it.

Some of the details are still sketchy - little things like video quality. So far this season, the games have been available in a near-DVD resolution, which has been VERY nice; it remains to be seen if the new system will provide video of similar quality.

The one nice thing is that they're now offering a 4-day sample pass for 95¢ and a monthly recurring subscription for $1.95/month - though these are promotional prices only available to the end of July. The yearly package is $45.95, so I'm guessing the regular price of the monthly sub will wind up $3.95 or so. I wonder how long the promo monthly price will last if one keeps the subscription, since it's essentially half price.

Thank you to [info]lasher820 for this.

Acoustic piano female version of Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar On Me". Slow romantic and absolutely fucking fabulous.

Absolutely beautiful. I want an MP3.

Last-minute pre-holiday tutti-frutti-hat LJ invite

Chelsea Classics, NYC’s version of San Francisco’s Castro Theater, is screening Busby Berkeley’s The Gang’s All Here tonight. [info]danbearnyc and I are planning on going to the 9:30 screening, which takes place at Chelsea Cinemas, 260 W. 23rd St, off Eighth Ave. Admission is only $7.50.

The Gang’s All Here is the Technicolor extravaganza with Carmen Miranda performing “The Lady in the Tutti-Frutti Hat” with the dancing phallic bananas and strawberries, and the “Polka Dot Polka” production number with the neon hula hoops, and much, much more. If you’ve never seen it on the big screen – especially with an all-gay audience – well, you haven’t really seen it. It stars Alice Faye, Carmen Miranda, Benny Goodman and his Orchestra, and Edward Everett Horton. The screening is introduced and hosted by Brini Maxwell (Hedda Lettuce is in rehab at an undisclosed location), with a pre-show where often some pretty fabulous door prizes are handed out.

Leave a note here if you plan on joining us!

The Ambassador, Wow again, Jay Brannan and Beer.

Life is good. Not perfect by any means, but good.

1. This morning I stopped by Bank of America to deposit my rent check and there was an employee sitting in a chair right next to the ATM machines. It was almost 90 degrees out already and he was just sitting there, doing nothing. When I walked passed him, I read his nametag. It said, "ATM Ambassador". I stopped, he glanced up, I looked back down at the name tag to make sure I read it correctly, and looked back at hime and said, "I don't get it."
2. I am still blown away but the present I got in the mail yesterday. As a thank you gift, [info]krcub (who visited me for a week from Canada), sent me a Canon PowerShot 8 Megapixel Digital Camera in the mail. Along with it was an extended warranty and (as if that was not enough) an 8G memory card with a card reader as well. This is probably the nicest Random Act of Kindness Ihave received since a group of my friends chipped in and bought me an iPod. I am still blown away. The camera is so damn nice.
3. Last night I played with the camera and realized what a total tech retard I am. The pictures were horrible as the lighting was really bad but the ones I snapped this morning were wonderful.
4. I know I have been a big Jay Brannan cheerleader, but his first studio album (2nd one on iTunes) just came out. It is amazing to say the least. You should check him out. Almost all his stuff can be viewed and listened to for free as he posts videos all the time to youtube, myspace, facebook and http://www.jaybrannan.com. I can't stop listening. Gotta support our gay artists, especially the really talented ones.
5. I am so looking forward to the weekend. I am hoping all my friends will be able to join me at Paddy's for beer bust on Sunday. I haven't been out drinking in about a month and I am itching it get fun and silly.

Back to the grind. Not that anyone is grinding today with the pending long weekend ahead.

I have this Sunday off. Anyone else not got any plans?

Help me to not spend the entire day surfing from my bed.... Give me a reason to get out of bed ;-)

It is meant to be sunny with showers on Sunday

Dead Air

Psst! *taps [info]dramatha on the shoulder*

From Dread Central:

Hey, all! We just got a look at the brand spanking new poster for Corbin Bernsen’s Dead Air, the story of a shock jock (Bill Moseley) who has to deal with an outbreak of what may or may not be zombies during his radio show. Dead Air is in post as we speak, so expect to see and hear more very soon!

(Clicking on Bill's name above will take you to a page where you can listen to an interview with him.)

Make with the clicky to see the poster! )

Went to the optometrist yesterday and mentioned that when I wear my contacts I find it hard to watch TV and look at a computer, glare at night is also a problem, and that I still have problems with distance. She gave me a different prescription to try over the week end. Well now I can see clear to Bernal Heights from here and now have to work to see up close. It may be a matter of getting used to them. The left lens is sliding around on my eye ball alot.

Took today off as a mental health day. Slept late and feel human somewhat but the chest cold portion of my recent illness is holding on with both hands. For now I'm off to have lunch with [info]squalidbear.
